Main applications:
- Manufacturing of chlorofluorocarbons CFC-11 and CFC-12 (Freon-12), applied as refrigerants and propellants for aerosol cans.
- Component of general purpose nonflammable solvents for lacquers, varnishes, waxes, resins, fats, oils, rubber, organic compounds and rubber cement.
- Metals degreasing agents and dry cleaning solvents.
- Solvent for resins, reaction medium, catalyst and chain transfer agent in polymer industry.

- Extractant of aromatics and propane gas.
- Component of adhesives in articles intended for use in packaging, transporting or holding food.
