HistoryCommissioning of every shop, development of new products were accompanied by the words “for the first time in the USSR ”. This fact demonstrates the great importance of the plant for the country economy.
November 1964 – The first lot of the cationic blue dye “K” was manufactured. For the first time in the USSR at Cheboksary chemical plant the production of dyes for nitron fibers was mastered.
1965-1966 - First production in the USSR of light stabilizers benzon OA and OM was set into operation as well as production of dyes for cotton, flax and silk.
1967 – The basic production of chlorine and caustic soda was started. Shops of electrolysis, electroalkali solutions, chlorine liquefaction were commissioned.
1968 – Productions of chloromethanes, chlorophos, aniline came on stream.
1968 – The chemical plant was named after Lenin Komsomol.
1971-1975 - The largest scale of industrial construction. 17 production facilities were commissioned, 41 items of new products were mastered. Among them – direct dyes for cotton, silk and viscose fabrics, acetonanil (first line), softener-2, chlorous sulfuril and others. For the first time in the USSR at Khimprom the production of organophosphorus complexones for oil-processing and heat and power engineering was created.
